Denis Meyers Tournai, 1979°

Denis Meyers was born in 1979 in Tournai (Belgium). He has been living and working in Brussels since 1998, where he also started his career as an artist. He holds a degree in graphic design and typography from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuals (in Cambre). He would evolve into a versatile artist whose works take various forms: stickers, templates, collages, frescoes. But whatever medium he uses, you will recognize his portraits with their pure black lines or his special handwriting paintings out of thousands. His stylistic strength stems from his experience in the printing industry and from the inspiration he draws from urban culture and popular art forms. Since 2001, he has won one major project after another for private companies (Duvel, Bellerose, Dandoy, Eastpak and others) and has organized numerous exhibitions. But it is Remember Souvenir that becomes a turning point for the now internationally renowned Denis Meyers. For the two-year Remeber Souvenir project that started in 2015 and ran until 2017, Denis Meyers completely painted the historic buildings of the Solvay Group in Brussels. 20,000 m2 was covered with graffiti.
