Piroeh OneBelgium, Leuven, 1998°
His style combines elements of abstract art and graffiti, in which he - inspired by artists such as Kaws, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mark Rothko, Keith Haring, and Christopher Wool - deconstructs the aesthetics of graffiti to explore the intersection between contemporary art and street culture.
Piroeh's oeuvre is characterized by expressive use of color, conveying both playfulness and emotional intensity. In his monochrome series - black-and-white and black-on-black - he experiments with perspective, light, and texture to emphasize movement and depth. His sculptures follow the same formal language, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the emotions that make us human.
