In the summer of 2019, from June 29 to September 15, Guillaume Bijl exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Zwin Nature Park in Knokke-Heist. For this occasion, he created a large-scale installation inspired by the touristic visual culture of the Belgian coast, interwoven with art historical references and everyday situations. The artwork titled "Seagull" was part of this exhibition and reflects Bijl's typical style of ironic realism. As a preparation for the piece, he first made a unique drawing on paper.
