This large-format lithograph dates from the mid-1980s, a period during which Pierre Alechinsky devoted significant attention to printmaking and monumental lithographs. The work was printed at the Paris-based Franck Bordas workshop, with whom the artist collaborated closely at the time. The title "L'eau à la lucarne" refers to water appearing at the level of a skylight, an image that is both simple and enigmatic, leaving ample room for interpretation. This striking work is offered in a black frame fitted with UV-protective, anti-reflective glass.
